More than a quick look

Get ahead of summer

Air conditioners almost always fail on the hottest day of the year — because that's when they're working hardest. A spring inspection catches a weak capacitor, low refrigerant, or a dirty coil while it's still a cheap fix, not an emergency. It also keeps the system running efficiently, which shows up on your summer energy bills.

While we're there, we can also:

  • Complete a full system tune-up
  • Change your air filter
  • Clean the system
  • Install a new WiFi thermostat

AC inspection questions

Frequently asked questions

How often should I have my air conditioner inspected?
Once a year, and the best time is spring — before the heat arrives. A yearly inspection keeps your AC running efficiently, helps avoid breakdowns during a heatwave, and keeps most manufacturer warranties valid.
What does an air conditioner inspection include?
We check the refrigerant charge, inspect and clean the condenser and evaporator coils, test the capacitor and contactor, clear the condensate drain line, check the blower and airflow, test the thermostat, inspect electrical connections, and check the air filter. We can also handle a tune-up, filter change, full cleaning, and a new WiFi thermostat install.
When is the best time to schedule an AC inspection?
Spring, before the spring and summer heat. Booking early means you're not waiting on a technician when the first heatwave hits and everyone's AC is struggling at once.
Why is an AC tune-up worth it?
A tuned AC runs more efficiently, which lowers your energy bills, and it's far less likely to fail when you need it most. Catching a weak capacitor or low refrigerant in spring is a lot cheaper than an emergency repair in July.
Can you inspect my AC during my furnace tune-up?
We recommend a spring tune-up for cooling and a fall tune-up for heating, so each system is checked right before its season. Call us and we'll set up a schedule that keeps both covered.
Do you inspect all AC brands?
Yes. We inspect and tune up all makes and models. Our company name is Bryant, but we service every brand.
