Keep the Warmth and Benefit from Energy Savings
Wow! So we are going to be hitting negative temperatures here in Columbus this week, that is before the windchill! It reminds me of the winters when I was a kid. After being outside for any length of time all you looked forward to was coming in to the warmth and having a nice hot cup of cocoa.
Let’s face it, it is not getting any cheaper to heat our homes. So how can we keep some of that heat inside to reduce those costs and keep our homes a comfortable temperature? Well, if you have an older home, it can certainly pay off to have an insulation specialist add additional insulation into your attic or even into the walls of your home.
If you are a do-it-yourself kind of person there are some other steps you can take, as well. For example, you can use some of the excellent 3M home energy products to help seal drafty doors and windows. Their window insulator kits can save you quite a bit of money and are easy to install using only a hair dryer.
For more energy savings, having Bryant install a whole house humidifier will not only make your home more comfortable but will enable you to turn down the thermostat a few degrees, as well. A few degrees can make a big difference in your winter heating bills. Additionally, Bryant can make adjustments to your registers to make sure the heat is being delivered properly within your home.
Please remember to not let your pets stay out in weather like this for very long. Until next time, stay warm out there!
